Meet Katya & Family
We sat down with Katya Tal, a mother of Three vibrant kids and also a photographer. Katya Originally form Ukraine and has been living in Bali for 18 years.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and your family
We are a couple of very calm, introverted people trying to keep up with our 3 children’s larger-than-life characters.
What are some words you might use to describe yourself as a mother?
I’m a mother who preaches kindness raising my kids emotionally attuned. I try to lead with heart and strength.
I’m fun and never think twice playing silly with my kids.
Describe the perfect day in Legian with your tribe
To go to Bedugul to pick strawberries, run free around a farm and have a delicious meal all together. I would take pictures. Stay overnight and wrap the day with marshmallows over a fire.
@balibiom is such a cute photo studio what inspires you in this work?
I’ve always been mesmerised by the art of photography so my husband suggested we build a studio as a creative space to bring to life unique ideas. I think it’s important to create in comfort.
What does joy look and feel like to you?
Joy is happiness and safety of my family. Joy is being squished by all my sleeping children, breaking through their tight hugs to hug my husband good night.
