Tell us a little bit about yourself and your family
I’m a mother, a memory-keeper, and a gentle chaos-coordinator. I live for sticky kisses, tiny voices calling “mama,” and moments that don’t look perfect but feel perfect. With my grounding partner and our two boys (Pram 21 & Tygo 5), we’re writing a simple, love-filled family story one day at a time.
What Balinese traditions or values do you share with your children?
As a Balinese Hindu, these traditions are woven into who I am. I pass on daily gratitude to the universe and the value of Menyama Braya - the knowing that “we” is always greater than “I.” These teachings are like quiet songs I tuck into their hearts, so Bali travels with them, wherever they go.
Describe the perfect day in Bali with your family.
For us, perfection is simplicity: the beach at golden hour, warm sand, soft waves, a nasi bungkus picnic. My little one builds sand-temples, my husband and older son nap after reading. I breathe in the salt air and just feel gratitude - nothing more needed.
What does community mean to you as a mother in Bali?
In Bali, we don’t talk about “a village” - we live it. My children are surrounded by many loving figures. Community lets me be a woman, a partner, a student, a businesswoman - and a mother. We quietly hold one another with the same understanding: you’re not alone.
What words describe you as a mother?
Imperfect, loving, protective, a storyteller. I have messy days and raised voices - but I always return to softness through prayer and reflection. My children see me as someone who sacrifices with love, tries her best, and is always growing.
